Week 2 | Day 5 | Activity 1: Everyday Heroes (Four Points) | Summer Learning Journey

LI: To brainstorm five ways you could support the affected people in New South Wales, Australia.

For this activity we had to brainstorm five ways we could support the affected people in New South Wales, Australia. We could think of ways we could gather money, making them feel positive or things to send these affected people. We also had to make a video or audio recording of ourselves explaining the brainstorms. I enjoyed this activity.

  2. Mōrena Farzna,

My name is Kueni and I am one of the blog commenters from the Ako Hiko cluster apart of the Summer Learning Programme for this summer. How have you been enjoying you school holidays? The weather is been so great, I hope you have had a chance to go and spend some time in the sun.

Ka pai on completing today activity about the 5 ways you could help the people who have been affected by the bushfires in Australia. It is such a devastating time over there and I can not even begin to imagine what it must be like for them.

I really enjoyed reading and listening about the 5 ways you could help. I especially like that you have talked about setting up a charity to donate different things that they may need and also your idea about getting as many people to donate.

If you were to reach out to your favourite celebrity and ask for their support and raise awareness to what is happening, what would you write?

Have a lovely rest of your day,
    Kueni :)

  4. Hi Farzana,
I liked how you explained what was happening in Australia, and what you needed to do for this activity. I also liked how you took a video of yourself, instead of just writing options down. Do you know anyone in Australia?

  5. Hello Farzana! I like how you executed your ideas clearly, and provoked your voice. And I think it was good that you kept it short and simple as well. Everything was really well put together and thought out, including the 5 ways. Another good one would be to start my own organisation that'll help raise awareness, and money that will go towards to the affected communities and the emergency services.
