Week 2 | Day 3 | Activity 1: The Right to Vote (Four Points) | Summer Learning Journey

LI: To write about your opinion of who should be on the 10 dollar note for NZ.

For this activity we had to write about who we think should be on the 10 dollar note for New Zealand if the goverment would change it and we could vote. We also was instructed to write about why they should be on the note. I chose Jacinda Ardern, because she has sacrificed many things for the country. I enjoyed this activity.

  1. Hi Farzana!
I like your Blog post about the person you want to replace for the $10 note. I think you should work on writing a bigger explanation to hook readers in.
    Keep it up!
    Blog you later

  2. Kia ora Farzana,

Just another reminder that the Manaiakalani cluster team and I are in the middle of going through your blog posts and tallying up points at the moment. While we do that don't forget, now that you've finished the programme, you can earn many more bonus points and help encourage other students to finish the SLJ programme by leaving thoughtful comments on other students' SLJ related blog posts!

Well done for participating in this years' SLJ programme, "Changemakers: People who have changed the world" - I appreciate your effort to complete the “Right to Vote” activity! I think Jacinda Ardern is a fantastic choice especially because of her fine leadership skills over the last year. It is always special when a lady is elected to lead a country but it is even more special to see and hear how many people’s lives she is positively changing.

Keep up the awesome mahi, Farzana!

  3. Hi Farzana,
I liked how you said that Jacinda Ardern should be on the $10 note because she's done a lot of things for New Zealand. Do you want to become a prime minister one day?

  4. Hello Farzana! I really like how you said because she has sacrificed a lot for New Zealand. Even that on it's own is something very worthy of being the face on the county's 10$ note. Jacinda Ardern sounds like a great role model too. Although I'd love to hear more about why you think this way...Glad to hear you enjoying the activities Farzana, well done!
