LI: To list three things that you learnt about the William sisters.
For this activity we had to list three things that we learnt about Serena and Venus Williams and also what we still want to know. I want to know how long they have played tennis for. I learnt that Venus won the Wimbledon in 2005, I also learnt that Serena earns more than $88 million dollars for her career alone. I also learnt that Serena and Venus don't do their own negotiations (talks/agreements). I enjoyed this activity.

ReplyDeleteDid you see the yellow coloured sky in the weekend? It really made me think about the people struggling in Australia because apparently the colour of the sky was yellow due to the bushfires in Australia. Anyways I hope it is sunny wherever you are!
Okay I am really enjoying going through your blog posts, they are so colourful and creative, well done! This blog post is laid out in such an aesthetically pleasing way. I had no clue that Venus won Wimbledon. I have always assumed that Serena only won and that Venus wasn’t as good so thank you for teaching me that new fact. ReplyDeleteI liked how you included interesting facts about Serena Williams and her sister (Like their pay) and even included photos. I find it interesting that Serena Williams earns millions of dollars every year, but still talks about a wage gap. Would you want to become a tennis player like her one day?
Talofa Farzana! I like how you've included pictures that go with each thing you've learnt. Serena and Venus Williams are amazing tennis players, and are very talented at what they do. In the two videos, the Gender pay gap is discussed by the two athletes. It's a very common issue in many communities other than sporting. Have you heard of it before? Great job!
