Week 2 | Day 2 | Activity 2: School Strike for Climate (Four Points) | Summer Learning Journey

LI: To list three facts we learned about climate change.

For this activity we started off with reading articles about how the Australian schools are sacrificing their education in order to save the future from climate wrecking projects. I didn't know about this until today. We also had to put a picture and short discription for what we would do to help climate change stop. I would pick up any piece of rubbish that I could find even if it wasn't mine. I enjoyed this activity.

  1. Kia ora Farzana,

Firstly, I always appreciate how much effort you put into your blog posts, this is another example of that! You never cease to amaze me with your super cool blog posts and the creativity you show by adding colour and images! I see that you have learnt a few interesting pieces of information, that is so good! I think it is amazing to know that our younger generation care so much for our environment, our animals and of course, our people! I also really dig your action plan to helping climate change. People forget that sometimes the best way to solving the world’s biggest issues is by encouraging each person to solve the little ones like stopping litter by picking it up. How do you think you can encourage your classmates or your friends and family to help you with stopping climate change?

Hopefully you have been able to spare some time to leave some helpful comments on other SLJ student blog posts to gain some extra points! Best of luck Farzana :)

  3. Hi Farzana,
I found it interesting that Australian students are sacrificing their opportunities in order to protest what they believe. Some people believe in climate change, others don't. Do you believe in climate change?

  4. Malo e lelei Farzana! Judging by your poster, I'm assuming you've learnt a lot about the protest and climate change. I think picking up your rubbish would be a great way to help - I like how you said even if you weren't the one that put it there. Something I'd like to do as well. Great work!
