SSR Selfie



LI. To learn how to summarise and retell text. This week for reading we had to do SSR Selfie. I read Captain Underpants and the terrifying return of Tippy Tinkletrousers the book was about how Tippy was constructing a robot to take over the world but first he had to destroy the prison.

Free Rice

Today for a writing can do I decided to play Free rice. The point of this game is to stop world hunger by children being able to play this game and donate rice. Every question you get right, you donate 10 grains of rice. I think this game is very cool because we can donate to the poor while donating to the poor.

Blog Commenting

Today I commented on Florence's blog. I commented about the compisition of her poster. I liked it because she used text, colour, layout, compisition. Florence did a really good job.
LI. To learn how to comment on peoples blog. Today I wrote a comment about Florence's Winter Olympics poster. She had a really good backround color.

SSR Selfie


LI. To summarise and retell some text. This week for reading we had to do SSR Selfie. I read A cheese coloured camper the book was about Geronimo's grandfather. Geronimo had to go to Pakistan with his grandfather because his grandfather wanted to write a book and Geronimo had to wirite it, and if you didn't know Geronimo hated traveling because it always goes wrong.

Winter Olympics




LI. To learn about the Winter Olympics. This week LS1 had to study about the Winter Olympics, and answer all the questions Mr. Ogilvie gave us. We learnt that the Winter Olympics is held in Pyeongchang in South Korea. I answered all the questions but it was hard to find some of the answers. We had to use text, colour, layout and composition to make this poster look interesting.

Kiwi Can

Kiwi Can
Today in the morning LS1 group A went to Kiwi Can to learn about positive relationships, because our theme this week is positive relationships and our topic is fair play.
We played two activities, the first activity was freeze tag, the rules were simple you couldn’t run. So we played the activity, for the first round we could walk fast so the tagger couldn’t tag us. For the second round we could only slow walk. I tried my best to not get tagged but I did. For the last round we could only walk quick.

For the second activity we played human bowling. Miss. Lilly got us into two groups Miss. Lilly told us the instructions, and then we started playing the game, the goal was to tag everyone in the other team. I was in the third row. The first person got two people out, then the other team got the second to last person. The person on my left got no one, I didn’t get anyone too. But it was okay I still got to play. Then I got tagged, went and sat down on the left side of me. The game was now down to two people the people in my team were cheering for Liletina, and the people on the other team were cheering for the last person for the other team.

After that we got to play GKQ witch means ‘General Knowledge Questions’ we got into 4 lines and started. The first 4 had to go first their buzzer was penguin walking. They answered the question. When we were done we went outside and lined up and went back to LS1.

The day was exiting because I learnt to participate in things you can do, and about fair play.

Title: Bean bag game with Mr. Wongs writing group
Reveal: On Monday afternoon Mr. Wongs writing group played a game outside.
Event 1: First Mr. Wong divided us into 3 groups of 8.
Event 2: Next Mr. Wong told us the instructions.
Event 3: Then we started playing the bean bag game.
Ending: At the end of the game I felt happy, but the sun really bothered me.

Kiwi Sport

Today in the morning we went to Kiwi Sport to learn how to play Softball. The coaches name is Alison she told us to get partners so I chose Charlize to be my partner so we started passing the softball we had to piont to the chest and do a monkey-dile and, if you are caching the ball you have to make butterfly hands. When we were done we had to do the ground ball. Charlize and I weren't strong enough, so we had to use all of our strength. We were finished, so we had to throw it high and see how many times we could clap. I threw it high and Charlize did seven claps, Mr. Oglive joined us so Charlize threw it to Mr. Oglive, he did twelve claps. Mr. Oglive threw it to me I did five claps. It went like a lifecycle. At the end I felt like a Athlete.

Creative work Attribution


LI. To atrribute creative work to the owner. I learnt that we need to atrribute other people in order to give credit to other people for what they publish and create for us. I learnt how to attribute by creating this. First I found a picture under labeled for reuse, next I coped the link to the work, then I put in the creators name, I put the license in, finally I put the link to the license info. That is how I made this.

Today I decided to comment on Charlize's blog. I liked how she put all the information for me to understand. She made a whakatauki for her group because we were doing a mini minute to win it activities. I like her work she always makes sure she provides a lot of information.
