Week 1 | Day 2 | Activity 3: Miracle on the Hudson (Six Points) | Summer Learning Journey

LI: To write about someone who we think is brave.

Today I have finished the last activity for day two of the summer learning journey programme. I think that I was brave when I was playing the duffy role for the first time. We had to write a discription. I also added the preparation of overcoming my shyness. I enjoyed this activity.

  2. Hi Farzana!,
Wow! I have enjoyed reading about something you have done brave. It is kind of scary presenting something in front of the whole school. Sometimes doing something brave can be quite fun. Don't you think?

    Good Job!

  3. Hi Farzana,
I liked how you said that you practiced and practiced until you knew your script off by heart, that must've taken a while. I also liked how you said that when you saw the whole school looking at you, you paused and had to work up the courage to speak. Do you think you could do it again?

  4. Kia ora Farzana,

You are on an absolute roll with your activities, wow! I really commend your courage. Sometimes being brave can be really hard, but you are right in saying to try not bring bad thoughts in your head. I’m so glad that you did it. I too have trouble with speaking aloud. But the only way to get better is to actually keep practising.

I really appreciate you taking the time to share this heart warming story with us.

    Blog you later!

  5. Hello Farzana! Speaking in front of a crowd of people definitely takes confidence, and courage. This is something I also find scary, which makes me really challenge and push myself to do it anyway. I always have to remind myself to breathe, and think about the positive. I'm really glad you were able to acknowledge this example of bravery, and shared it with us!
