Summer Learning Journey | Which One Doesn't Belong? | Step It Up | Day 5 Activity 1

This activity was based around spotting the difference between four images and getting a chance to create your own 'Which one doesn't belong?' activity.

Watching some videos and reading some articles was the first step. The videos talked about what 'Which One Doesn't Belong?' activities are. Which one doesn't belong activities require you to spot the differences between a number of images. There can be more than one difference for each image.

After this, we needed to complete nine of these tasks. I found many differences for some of the images.

Next, we created our own challenge with four images. I chose to put four images of bears. Can you find the differences?

I enjoyed this activity a lot because it was an interactive activity which required us to also make our own task.

LI: to spot the differences between four images.

  1. Hi Farzana,

I really liked reading your blog post today! Great job on finishing your 8th summer learning journey activity for this week! I have completed this task as well and I found it very interesting because it kept me busy for a long time. I liked the way you have added a detailed blurb which explains what you did in this task. The answer for your questionnaire would be:

    1. A, because it has blue eyes
    2. C, because it has green eyes
    3. D, because it is in a circle shape
    4. B, because it is holding a heart
    5. C, because it has a bow tie and a Santa hat

What did you find interesting in your activity and why? Which Summer Learning Journey Task is your favourite till now?

    Keep up the fabulous work!

  2. Tēnā koe Farzana, this is Fiona from the Summer Learning Journey.

Well done for completing the “Which one doesn’t belong” activity! You have given lots of examples in your slides and it’s great to see that you have put in so much effort!

My favourite part about this activity is that other people may notice something that I may have missed. For example, in slide 7, I saw that clock C is different because the time is 10 minutes to five O’clock, while all the other clocks are on the hour. But I hadn’t noticed that one of the clocks was smaller - ka pai!

Great work creating your own “Which one doesn’t belong” slide. What I noticed is bear c doesn’t belong because it has a hat on. And bear B because it is holding a heart. What other differences are there?

Keep it up and I look forward to seeing your future blog posts!

    Ngā mihi,

    Fiona

  3. Hi Farzana
Great to see you getting involved with the SLJ and making such great progress. You have spotted all the differences in this activity.
These "Spot the difference" or "What doesn't belong" often appear in magazines. A bit of fun for the reader.
