Matilda is a book about a young girl, whose parents neglect her. However, when they do notice her, its barely for a good cause.
After Matilda finally went to school, she met her head mistress; Miss Trunchbull. Miss Trunchbull is a horrid principle and uses her proffesion, hammering to hurt little children.
Miss Trunchbull finds a little girl named Amanda Thripp. Amanda's mum styles her hair into pigtails, and this irritates Miss Trunchbull so much. After Miss Trunchbull sees Amanda's hair style, she gets furious and grabs Amanda by her pigtails and uses her like a hammer.
Matilda's parents are almost as bad as Miss Trunchbull. Miss Honey (Matilda's teacher) goes to Matilda's house to talk to Mrs and Mr Wormwood about Matilda's knowledge. Matilda knows very complicated times tables and knows how to read adult books.
Matilda is a book, that is suitable for kids and adults. It is also very interesting and funny.
