Identifying Decimals | Maths

LI: To identify and count thenths, hundredths, and thousandths.

A decimal is higher than 0 but less that 1 or a full number. These are examples of decimals: 1.7 or 1.2. To do the must do we had to learn how to say the decimals. You might think that 25.847 is pronounced: twenty five point eight hundred and fourty seven but it is actually pronounced twenty five point eight four seven. On the slide we had to answer the words on the decimal number, the fraction, the number before, the number after and the photo. I enjoyed this activity.
