Stardome Planetarium Trip
The Stardome Planetaruim trip gave us an opportunity to learn more about outer space, planets, and the solar system. Our instructor's name was John. He explained to us what we were going to do. We had three parts to the trip. The first part we were in a theatre and learning about the planets and the parts of it. The second part we did a quiz about space and there were information about all of the questions on the walls. We did this in groups of five. In my group there was Fau, Charlize, Alayah, and Salina. There were only seven questions and we got six out of seven questions correct. The last part was the planetarium were we sat on chairs and looked up to see a large sized screen. On the screen there was a long video explaining the weather of the planets in our solar system. We did talk about the dwarf planets too. The dwarf planets are: Pluto, Ceres, Makemake, Haumea, and Eris. The planets are very interesting and taught me a lot of facts about space. Mercury, Venus, Earth, & Mars are the rocky planets. Jupiter and Saturn are called the gas giants. Uranus and Neptune are called the ice giants. One thing that I learnt from the trip is that our solar system is like two plates joined together. I enjoyed this trip and learnt a lot about space.
