Simple, Compound, & Complex Sentences | Writing
LI: To show an increasing knowledge of how to range a text conventions can be used appropriately.
This week for writing we had to complete three simple sentences and convert them to compound and complex sentences. We had to include homophones in the sentences. A homophone is words that is spelt differently but sound the same. A simple sentence is a sentence that states on thing. A compound sentence is a sentence that has a conjunction which separates more information/clauses. A complex sentence is a sentence that has a conjunction in the beginning of a sentence and has a comma. I enjoyed this activity.
