Poetry | Ryhme | Inquiry
LI: To identify purposes of poems.
This week for inquiry we were looking at poems. A poem is a type of literature, it can be a rhyming text or a non-rhyming text. The types of rhymes are: End Rhyme, Alliteration, Assonance, & Consonance. End rhyme means when the same sound of the last word or sillable sounds the same. Alliteration means when the start of multiple words sound the same. Assonance means when a the majority of a word has most vowels in them. Consonance means when the word has the majority of a conconance letter. I enjoyed looking at poems with my group.
