AFL

LI: to improve your skills when playing AFL.

Today LS2 went to the field to play AFL (Austrailian Football League). The year seven's and eight's seperated and started learning some skills.

The first skill we were taught was how to catch a ball to get points. The first way to catch a ball is to use the camera technique. We need to make a 'W' shape with both hands and the ball should land in between your hands (the camera). The second way to catch a ball is to scoop the ball like people do in rugby.

After learning the skills, we played against the year eight's. The year seven's ended up winning the match.

I enjoyed this week's session and got to learn how to play AFL properly.
